Window Treatments for Historic and Classic Homes in Worthington, Ohio
Worthington's historic district and classic neighborhoods have homes with original trim, plaster walls, and windows that are rarely perfectly square. Treatments here need to respect the architecture and fit precisely.
Built to fit older windows
Off-the-shelf sizes rarely fit older openings. Custom shutters and shades are measured to each window, including out-of-square frames and arched tops. Specialty shapes typically run 15 to 40 percent more than a standard rectangle.
Classic looks
Plantation shutters and Roman shades suit traditional homes, and fabric Roman shades soften rooms with lots of hard plaster surfaces. Compare options in shades vs blinds vs shutters.
Smart control without opening walls
Rechargeable battery motors add full smart control with no new wiring, so original plaster and trim stay untouched. More in our smart home window automation guide.
What it costs in Worthington
Composite shutters typically run $275 to $1,600 per window installed, hardwood $325 to $1,950, and motorized rechargeable roller shades $450 to $1,300. Full breakdown: window treatment costs in Central Ohio.
